Clearpay App Configuration Errors
- Cause: If there’s an issue with your Clearpay merchant account, it could be the reason as to why Clearpay as a payment method is not appearing in checkout. For example, your Clearpay account might not be fully activated, or there may be an issue with your Clearpay credentials.

Solution: Ensure that your Clearpay merchant account is active and that you have the correct Clearpay credentials (Merchant ID and Secret Key) to connect with Shopify.
- Within your Shopify Admin Panel, go to Settings > Payments > Clearpay (If you do not see Clearpay, then select + Add payment method).
- Click the More Actions button and then select Manage button (if you selected ‘Add payment method’ previously, click Search by provider, search for and select ‘Clearpay (New)’ and then press Install ).
- These steps will lead you to an Clearpay login screen, which will allow you to update/activate the Clearpay payment method with your Merchant ID and Secret Key.

Inconsistent Currency Display
- Cause: A common cause for Clearpay as a payment method not appearing at checkout is because your Shopify store's base currency may differ from the corresponding Clearpay account region.
- Solution: Your Shopify store’s address and currency must correspond to the Clearpay account region. Please refer to this page to ensure they are configured correctly.
