Explanation:
Clearpay payment method must be activated within the plugin settings and also added as a payment option within the WooCommerce Settings.
Additionally, the store currency and checkout currency must match the Clearpay account region for the payment method to appear at checkout. That is, if you have a Clearpay UK account, the checkout currency must be GBP unless you have Cross Border Trade and Currency Localisation enabled.
Action:
Find the Clearpay Gateway for WooCommerce within the Installed Plugins and ensure the payment option is activated.

Store Currency:
Please note that Store Currency must correspond to the Clearpay account region. To check this:
- Navigate to: WordPress Admin > WooCommerce > Settings > General.
- Under Currency options, the currency must be GBP
Cross Border Trade and Currency Localisation:
Please get in touch with the Merchant Admin team to ensure you have Cross Border Trade (CBT) and Currency Localisation enabled in the Clearpay Admin Portal. Once that has been done, you will need to enable the configuration within the plugin settings.
- Go to the WordPress Admin Dashboard.
- Go to Plugins* > Installed Plugins.
- Find the Clearpay Gateway for WooCommerce in the plugin list and click the Settings button.
- Scroll down to the Cross Border Trade Configuration. This section controls the currency conversion.
- Enable Multicurrency: With this enabled, overseas customers are now able to use Clearpay with their local currency selected and pay the exact amount that they see in checkout.
- CBT Countries: Clearpay populates this field, which is a list of countries that have been enabled for CBT. After payment, the currency is converted to your currency for settlement.
- CBT Limits: This field shows the exchange rates used. These rates are automatically checked and updated every 15 minutes
