Please follow the below steps:

  1. Check Shopify Admin - Payments Settings
    1. In your Shopify store admin, navigate to Settings > Payments.
    2. Under the "Alternative Payment Methods" section, check if Clearpay is listed as an active payment method.
    3. If Clearpay is properly installed, you should see it there, along with any other enabled payment methods.
    4. If it is not listed, then this means it is not properly installed and you’ll need to go back to the Shopify App Store to install it.

  2. Validate Merchant Credentials
    1. Ensure that the Merchant ID and Secret Key provided by Clearpay are correctly configured in your Shopify payment settings. If these are incorrect, the integration will not work.

  3. Test the Checkout Process
    1. Go through the normal purchase flow by adding a product to the cart.
    2. When you reach the checkout page, check if Clearpay is listed as a payment option along with the usual credit/debit card options.
    3. If it's not appearing at checkout, verify that the Clearpay app is enabled and properly linked to your payment gateways. Additionally, check if there are any restrictions based on the product price or cart size.

  4. Complete a Test Transaction (Optional)
    1. Perform a real transaction using Clearpay as the payment option to ensure the payment method processes correctly.
    2. You can verify that the order is created in Shopify and that the payment status is marked as Paid or similar.

  5. Review Clearpay Merchant Dashboard
    1. Log into the Clearpay Business Hub with your Merchant User account and look for any pending or successful transactions. If Clearpay is working correctly, you should see orders placed through your Shopify store reflected here.
    2. If there are no orders, it may indicate that the integration has not been fully completed.

  6. Cross-Verify Your Transaction Data
    1. Follow the steps here to verify the transaction data matches between Shopify and Clearpay.

  7. Look for App Error Messages in Shopify
    1. In your Shopify admin, go to Apps and click on Clearpay to open the app settings.
    2. The Clearpay app may provide error messages or prompts if something isn't configured correctly. If everything is installed correctly, you should not see any warnings or issues.
    3. Follow the provided instructions to resolve any issues, which could involve re-entering your Clearpay credentials or reviewing specific settings.

Important Notes:

Do not enable Test mode. If you enable Test mode, the integration fails. The Enable test mode function is only for use on dedicated test websites. Contact your Clearpay Account Manager if you need test credentials.
