Before you install and configure the Clearpay On-Site Messaging App, make sure you have already added Clearpay at checkout on your Shopify store. Ensure Clearpay is visible at checkout and functioning before you attempt anything with the Clearpay On-Site Messaging App. You cannot use the Clearpay On-Site Messaging App without first adding Clearpay at checkout successfully.
Clearpay has two implementation options available for Shopify merchants to display Clearpay installment messaging:

- This Shopify app is designed to easily allow you to configure Clearpay messaging on your website through your Shopify store’s UI.

Manually Add Clearpay Site Messaging to Theme
- The Clearpay Code Snippet allows you to manually add Clearpay messaging to the product and cart pages. You do this by copy-pasting the Clearpay Messaging code snippet into your Shopify Liquid template file.

You cannot use the Clearpay On-site Messaging App to add Clearpay at checkout. Instead, follow the instructions on the Add Clearpay at checkout page.
